Enhance OSM Editing with Rapid Power User Extension
The Rapid Power User Extension is a Chrome add-on designed to streamline the OpenStreetMap (OSM) editing experience by integrating the Rapid web editor. This free tool redirects the OSM.org Edit button to open in Rapid, allowing users to choose between the latest release or canary build. It also supports Strava Heatmap overlays, enabling customization of heatmap colors and opacity, enhancing the visual representation of data during editing.
In addition to its primary features, the extension provides users with the flexibility to adjust several Rapid defaults, such as showing or hiding AI features and enabling power user mode. Upon installation, the extension icon appears in the toolbar, and users can log into Strava for additional functionalities. For those who prefer not to use Strava, integration features can be easily disabled through the extension options menu.
